Electronic Mail
A Professional Address on the Internet
Your electronic mail address is an important part of how you communicate in the
21st century. Nurick + Associates can set you up with e-mail at your own domain,
giving you both professionalism and portability.
Professionalism
You want to present a professional image to your customers. Here's an
example: Someone wants to contact your firm (Mycorp) with a sales
inquiry. Which do you think comes across better:
bill23@aol.com or sales@mycorp.com? Which is easier for
your customers to remember?
When we
set up your e-mail service, each person you designate will get their own personal
account (bill.smith@mycorp.com), and we will also set up
role accounts (support@mycorp.com) for you to publish on your web site. Role
accounts are forwarded to the individual who responds to that function, but allow you to
present a clean, corporate image to the general public. They also let you reassign
responsibility for responding to customers without having to reeducate your
customers about your internal changes.
Portability
As your organization grows, you may change Internet Service Providers (ISPs) several
times. If your e-mail is the one you get free from your provider, you can not
change your provider without notifying everyone of your e-mail address. With
the accounts we set up for you, your e-mail is tied to your domain, which is not
dependent on your choice of ISP.
